Violence in My Neighborhood: Holding Two Things Together at the Same Time

  1. I am taken aback by the pround truth you so eloquently presented here. I have totally gotten caught up is seeing a video clip and immediately taking a position…a view.. a judgement. The problems in our society ultimately come from our human frailty and sinful nature. I am tired of division in our country…our neighborhoods and even in our church. I pray the Holy Spirit will continue to work on my heart and mind and prompt me to hold my thoughts captive unto the obedience of Christ and see all situations…video clips and people through His loving eyes of grace. PS Dr. Mallory Wyckoff I adore you and thank God for the gift you are to me…our family and this world

A guide for comments:

1) This is a space for the exchange of ideas and perspectives. Share freely and openly.

2) Speak boldly and humbly, and never, ever, ever in ways that denigrate other human beings.

3) Assume the best in others, even as you disagree with them.

4) Always note that impersonal, anonymous communication online is never a substitute for real flesh-and-blood engagement with others. So by all means, post and share and engage one another, then take a friend or foe out for tea and explore ideas and questions together at a shared table.
